Meet the Board

Jason Hart

Jason Hart from Summerton, SC has spent his entire professional career in the hunting, fishing, conservation and shooting sports industries.  After graduating Clemson University with a degree in wildlife biology, Jason has worked in sales, marketing and product roles for companies such as Avery Outdoors, the Quality Deer Management Association, Under Armour, Mossy Oak, Huk & NOMAD apparel and Sierra and Barnes Ammunition.  Jason currently serves as the Director of Community Marketing for Mossy Oak. In addition to the Lowcountry Game Bird Foundation, Jason volunteers for the National Wild Turkey Federation Foundation Board and the Wild Turkey Safety Committee.  Jason is a passionate turkey hunter having hunted in every state in the US, Canada and Mexico.

 

 

 Bennett Griffin

Carolina native, Bennett Griffin, developed a passion for the outdoors at an early age thanks to his father who shared the same passions. Whether it was in a deer stand or a dove field weekends were spent outdoors. Bennett is currently the captain of an offshore sport fishing boat that travels extensively up and down the east coast of the United States, the Caribbean and the west coast of Central America. As a father of three it's very important to him to preserve the natural resources he loves so much!

 

 

Nash Elliot

Nash Elliott from Estill, SC is a 2004 graduate of the University of South Carolina. Upon graduating from South Carolina, Nash began working for Elliott Sawmilling Co. in Estill. He has held various roles at the mill including procurement, sales, and operations. Nash became the General Manager in 2018 and has remained in that role with Canfor Southern Pine since they acquired the company in 2020. In addition to serving on the board of the Lowcountry Game Bird Foundation, Nash is also a board member and former Chairman of the Southeastern Lumber Manufacturers Association. Nash is an avid turkey hunter who also enjoys chasing whitetails across the US and spends all of his free time managing land for wildlife.

 

 

Will Gaissert

Will Gaissert, born in Griffin, GA, resident of Summerville, SC. Will graduated from Georgia College in 2012 and began a career with State Farm a week after graduating. In 2018 Will relocated to Summerville and opened his own agency in town. In addition to being a board member of the Low Country Game Bird Foundation, Will is also involved with Turkey Hunters Fighting Cancer and is also the President of the Summerville Exchange Club. Will enjoys anything outdoors but his passion is turkey hunting and chasing whitetails.

 

 

Thomas Pendarvis

Thomas obtained his undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of Georgia in 1984 and his law degree from the University South Carolina in 1992. Thomas and his law firm represent clients on legal malpractice claims, breach of fiduciary duty claims, and other complex civil matters, business disputes and commercial litigation. Thomas also represents lawyers in professional responsibility and ethics matters, including defending lawyers in disciplinary matters and representing lawyers and law firms in lawyer departure matters, law firm dissolutions, and other ethics matters. Thomas is member of the South Carolina Bar’s Professional Responsibility Committee and the South Carolina Association of Ethics Counsel. He is admitted to practice law in South Carolina and Georgia. Thomas is Board Certified in Legal Malpractice by the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys.
